• Licensing

What is Licensing?

Licensing is a term used to describe the relationship between the licensor (owner of the rights to a set of intellectual property, trademark and know-how) and the licensee, who wants to use a proven business model to make a profit.

Where is SkillSet seeking licensees?

We make license agreements for the USA, Canada, and Latin American, European, Middle Eastern and Asian countries.

What types of learning centers are available?

SkillSet offers the opportunity to choose whether to open a traditional offline unit at a specific property or an online unit.

What makes the SkillSet teaching method unique?

SkillSet works just like a fitness center or gym, but for your brain! You can attend any classes anytime with any teacher. It’s as simple as that! Our classes are fun and addictive, so you will want to come back again and again!

Who determines the cost of tuition?

For offline units, the licensee determines the cost of tuition independently. In some cases, we reserve our right to determine the cost of tuition for specific programs in the interests of advertising.

For online units, prices are determined by the licensor.

Fees and Royalties

There is a one-time licensing fee of $15,000. The fee is the same for online and offline units. The term of the agreement is 5 years, renewable with no additional fees. Royalties are 7% of gross sales (minus sales tax) paid every month.

Will there be training and support?

Every licensee undergoes a training course in managing a SkillSet unit. The course consists of theoretical and practical classes. We provide each licensee with a personal manager to help with the unit’s operation. We will help you find native teachers (and bring them to your location if needed), interview them and teach you how to do the same on your own. We will also offer you academic support by monitoring classes and assessing client feedback.

Does SkillSet help with advertising?

Yes, we do. All SkillSet units operate under a single marketing plan. We also offer consulting in carrying out local advertising free of charge.

On average, a return on investment will come in 12 months. The main condition to receive a fast return on investment is compliance with SkillSet standards and regulations.

We do not assist in receiving loans or make out business plans. However, we are ready to consult you regarding calculations of your unit’s profitability, and will willingly provide a certain amount of statistics from our other units.

Does SkillSet guarantee a return on investment?

All commercial risks linked to the unit’s performance are the licensee’s responsibility. Despite the large amount of support that SkillSet offers, we cannot regulate the performance of the licensee’s hired personnel on site. However, it is the quality of the personnel’s performance that will determine client satisfaction and renewed tuition.
